She and Arek share a troubled childhood at the hands of an abusive parent, the consequences of which she tries to hide from the world, including Reyne who she loves deeply. Only her brother Arek, with whom she shares an unbreakable bond, knows how damaged she really is.

In his early fifties, his hair has mostly fled him, and he sports extra padding around his waist. The Voice, who Jerithan believes may be that of God, speaks into his thoughts at irregular intervals offering guidance and observations for Jerithan to consider as he navigates the political waters of leading the faithful.
-
Neladith
(Nel-Eh-dith) With striking red eyes and similarly colored hair, Neladith snared Arek with her shapely, youthful appearance. Playful and forever cheerful with a lust to explore all that life has to offer, she competes with Mithany for Arek’s attention—and won’t be denied.
